Three new range additions for the Ford Kuga

Ford is scheduled to inflate the attractiveness of the well-known Kuga crossover with the addition of three fresh variants giving lower CO2, automatic transmission, and greater potency and torque. Preserving the design and modification of the current Kuga 2.0-liter TDCi, but with a CO2 yield of just 159g/km, the new front-wheel-drive variant provides both improved fuel efficiency and business users will enjoy some cost benefits. As regulations are altered in April 2009, the Ford Kuga 2WD will especially benefit business customers who will be entitled to a 20 per cent annual discount against Corporation Tax for a vehicle with less than 160g/km CO2 (in contrast to 10 per cent over 160g/km). Buyers will also benefit from the model's enhanced fuel cost-effectiveness as it goes down into the new under-160g/km banding for Vehicle Excise Duty.
New performance lead vehicles were also added by Ford, mating intelligent AWD with the highly praised 2.5-liter Duratec powerhouse utilized in the Focus ST, Mondeo and S-MAX. With 200PS and linear torque of 320Nm (between 1,600 and 4,000rpm) the 5-cylinder gasoline engine enables Kuga to sprint from standstill to 62mph in just 8.2sec and on to a ceiling speed of 129mph when couples with the 6-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed automatic transmission is also offered with this powerhouse.
Slimming down is a fairly recent market development. The Kuga 2.5-liter gas aims at those buyers transferring from big SUVs who are not willing to give up or exchange performance and style. The big SUV class specifically has fallen considerably year after year. Run-flat tires are an option that adds to the assortment of high-quality features, which also comprise of a camera for reversing, panorama glass roof and a DAB radio, among others.
