Tokyo Preview: Nissan Fuga or an Infiniti M in disguise…

2010 Nissan FugaLess than two weeks before it starts, carmakers are quick to reveal what viewers should anticipate at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Nissan will display the Land Glider Concept, the ROOX Super Space vehicles and a special treat — the new generation Fuga model.

he Fuga is available in two engine configurations: the VQ37VHR 3.7-liter V6 or the VQ25HR 2.5-liter V6 engine. Also featured are Double Piston Shock Absorbers, the Intelligent Pedal and the Cornering Stability Assist. The technology package contains the LDP (Lane Departure Prevention system) and the Intelligent Cruise Control. The Fuga is equipped with a driving safety support system, which uses the ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) in its navigation system. More details and photos after the jump!


Furthermore, the eco-driving is the greener side of Fuga, as it is supported by an ECO-pedal. For its interior, the luxury sedan is fitted with Forest AC, a climate control system; a newly developed plasma-cluster ion unit for air purification; and a Bose R Surround Sound System with 16 speakers and 14-channel digital amplifier.

Along with the production version of the new generation Fuga is Nissan’s Fuga hybrid vehicle, which will be launched in Japan in the autumn of 2010.

The hybrid is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, high-power Li-ion batteries and a highly efficient one-motor-two-clutch parallel hybrid system solely developed by Nissan.
