Toyota and Tesla preparing RAV4 and Lexus RX electric prototypes

We already announced you earlier today that Tesla will deliver two rechargeable prototype electric cars to Toyota this month. According to a person familiar with the matter, we found out that Toyota and Tesla will use the Japanese automaker's RAV4 and Lexus RX crossovers as their first jointly developed battery-powered test models. Toyota will receive the two prototypes this month but according to reports, the Japanese manufacturer also wants to test an electric Corolla. Apparently, the two crossovers were chosen due to the fact that there are better suited to the weight of Tesla's battery pack. We anticipate range and acceleration exceeding that of other announced electric vehicles of this class, Elon Musk, chief executive officer of Tesla.
