Toyota and Tesla to unveil an electric car prototype this year

According to the latest reports from Nikkei newspaper, it appears that Toyota and Tesla are working hard on a prototype which will be based on a current Toyota model using Tesla's lithium-ion-battery-based system. The new car will be revealed this year but there are no details regarding the production of the vehicle. Regarding Tesla's technology, Toyota wants to use it in its future vehicles in order to lower the cost.
