Toyota initially released details through its website concerning the fuel consumption ratings of the 2010 Prius as 50mpg city and 49mp highway, however it has since raised the city rating by 1mpg and lowered the highway number down 1mpg. The combined figures are still 50mpg. Last March, Toyota issued a press statement saying that the new Prius hybrid will reach 50mpg on the combined cycle, 50mpg in city limits and 49mpg on the highway. Those numbers have been currently revised to 51mpg in the city and 48mpg on the highway, while the number for the combined cycle remains steady at 50mpg. These are all preliminary EPA figures. Pricing for the 2010 Toyota Prius is still to be released with sales to commence this coming May.
