Toyota Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG unveiled at the SEMA Show

Toyota Surfrinder Camry Hybrid CNG

Besides the Toyota Prius Aerius and Aemulus, Toyota/Billabong Ultimate Venza Concept and the Tundra Hot Rod, this year's SEMA Show will also see the Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG. For this new project Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A., Inc. has partnered with Surfrider Foundation to create a specially modified Camry Hybrid fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), in order to reflect Toyota's involvement with environmental awareness. The CNG system was built by Metal Crafters of Fountain Valley and to convert the stock Camry Hybrid to a CNG vehicle, the gasoline system was replaced with a compressed natural gas system which was installed in the spare tire well area. Continued after the jump! The exterior of the car was further modified with the help of Street Image as it follows: the car received a sportier look with the new aggressive body kit featuring a custom front grill and unique rear bumper that covers the tail pipe and exhaust system. Also, the overall ride height was lowered on an adjustable coilover suspension. The kit is completed by the 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxy 4" tires and the new multi-colored vehicle wrap that features CNG and Surfrider logos. Inside, we find new enhancements such as a custom Grey Suede and Black leather upholstery.
