Toyota to create a car with even more splendid flavor than the Scirocco

A blogger has said, Cars are not a mere means of mobility. A very true statement but what makes it fascinating is that it didn´t come from just anyone. These were written by Akio Toyoda, the president and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation, who goes by the pseudonym Morizo on the company's Japanese-language marketing Web site Gazoo. In the blog, Toyota has appointed himself supreme automotive taste tester for Toyota Motor Corp. He says that his favorite buzz words are fun to drive and he says that he personally favors high-performance, responsive, sporty cars. It sounds like he's describing the Lexus IS-F sedan and LFA sports car, two of his pet projects. Toyoda isn´t only claiming to be a connoisseur of Toyota cars; he also gives his opinion about the plethora of environmentally friendly cars at last month's Tokyo Motor Show. He started off by complaining about it being all green and about the lack of excitement and inspiration. He acknowledges that eco-friendly cars are a prerequisite for the future, but he thinks, there must be more than that." Last July, there was a non-Toyota car that got his heart revving. He blogged about test-driving the latest Volkswagen Scirocco and being jealous of its cool styling. Toyota described the Scirocco to run incredibly well, to the extent that he can't believe it is a 2000cc engine. Toyoda is rising up to the challenge and he said that he will create a car with even more splendid flavor than the Scirocco." [via autonews]
