Toyota to launch a new compact concept car at New Dehli Motor Show

At next month‚ New Delhi Motor Show, one of the most anticipated displays is that of Toyota‚ new compact concept car that is aimed at emerging markets. No details have been released yet about the car, which will have its official launch on January 5.
Reuters said that the car has been code-named EFC, standing for Entry Family Car. The Tata Nano shouldn‚Äôt be threatened though as Toyota‚ car is set to cost around $10,000 and won‚Äôt be in the same market. Toyota plans to sell this in markets including India, Russian and South America, and it is also likely to be built at Toyota‚ new Indian factory from late 2010. In Brazil, the model is earmarked for 2011. This car will be showcased alongside 13 other concept and production vehicles at the New Delhi Show.
