Toyota’s president will drive the Lexus LF-A in the Nurburgring 24-Hour race
Akio Toyoda, the president of Japanese car giant Toyota, will pilot the Lexus GT500 sports car at the Nurburgring 24 hours this coming May 23 and 24. Referred to as the LF-A previously, the GT500 is joining the race for the second time, as it has joined the event last year, as part of its continuing development program. Toyoda, who is the grandson of Kiichiro Toyoda the founder of Toyota, is part of a four-driver team. Last November, Toyoda also piloted the GT500 at the Toyota Motorsports Festival at Fuji Speedway in Japan.
