Although the VW Tiguan SUV was not specifically designed for performance, this has not deterred B&B, the German tuning firm, to do a wide-ranging tuning program on the compact off-roader. The top-of-the range Tiguan will come with every bit of modification B&B has come up with including a 300hp (225kW) with 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque.
The first stage of the B&B tuning for the 1.4-liter TSI version of the Tiguan begins at 998 Euros with power boost from 150hp (112kW) to 190hp (142kW) as well as torque boost from 177lb-ft (240Nm) to a remarkable 207lb-ft (280Nm).
A new, revised injection system and revised air intake that bumps power yield to 200hp (150kW) and 221lb-ft (300Nm) of torque are added for 500 Euros.
For those who want more, B&B has still more: a new turbocharger and intercooler that combine to bring power to 220hp (164kW) and 236lb-ft (320Nm) of torque for 5,998 Euros.
For those who already have a 2.0-liter TFSI in their Tiguan, the stage one tune brings power yield to 220hp (164kW) and 250lb-ft (340Nm) of torque with a second level pack boosting both power and torque by 20 units.
Level three comes with the new turbocharger and intercooler, the 2.0-liter TFSI Tiguan will be getting 300hp (225kW) and 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque.
The diesel versions of the Tiguan are also customizable, with the 2.0 TDI powerplant being revised to bring power up to 220hp (164kW) and torque up to 310lb-ft (420Nm).
Apart from the engine tuning package, B&B is also offering an aero package to improve the Tiguan's appearance. The package come with a 14-piece of bolt-on aero elements for the SUV, along with 20 inch bespoke alloy wheels.
Included also are a sports suspension that reduces ride height by 40mm, resulting in improved handling and a sound enhancing bespoke sports exhaust system.
