A tuning package for the BMW X6 M has recently been unveiled by the Abu Dhabi-based Alsa Automotive Engineering. Its performance was tweaked to make the car deliver up to 724 PS (533 kW / 714 bhp).
CEO Mohammed Al Sayegh said that they achieved this without modifying the engine's displacement, unlike what Nowack Motors did that led to the X6 M producing 715 PS (526 kW /705 bhp). Al Sayegh told WCF that Nowack Motors accomplished this by making the car a 4.8 liter instead of maintaining its 4.4 liter engine capacity.
This tuning package, which offers upgraded turbo compressor wheels, is available as well for the X5 M. The new turbo components expand the pressure up to 1.8 bar, but engineers proceeded to modify the engine control unit, along with the installation of high-flow catalytic converters and straight pipes.
As a result, its horsepower was increased to more than 32%. Torque is also increased to a maximum of 945 Nm (697 ft-lb).
The SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8seconds, and can hit a maximum speed of 200 km/h in 14.6 seconds. In addition, Alsa Automotive claims a 325 km/h (202 mph) top speed.
Al Sayegh said that Alsa is the first and only company to have effectively modified the turbo's to make the car run higher boost on stock engine. This BMW X6 M package is priced from 68,000 Arab Emirates Dirham (€15,086, $18,514).
