Joining the American lineup of Bmw 7-Series models is the Alpina B7, which has the indications of becoming the "most dynamic 7-Series model" in the country. The car is equipped with BMW's 4.4l, all-aluminum V8 engine, modified by Alpina into generating 500 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
The car is able to accelerate from zero to 60mph in 4.5 seconds. The engine is boosted by two parallel turbochargers and is paired with a six-speed sport automatic transmission, which features Alpina SWITCH-TRONIC transmission control. This means that the driver is allowed to select either Sport or Manual driving modes.
The car rides on an adaptive suspension with tuned Dynamic Damping Control and Active Roll Stabilization, which give the driver the choice from Comfort, Normal and Sport suspension modes. Albina has set apart this car from the regular 7-Series by coming up with a package with a body kit and interior enhancements for the car.
For its interior, Alpina aerodynamic developments include front and rear spoilers, two polished double-tailpipes exhaust system, 21" wheels (or 20-spoke ALPINA CLASSIC wheels). For its interior, Alpina is featured on the upper seatbacks of the standard leather Comfort seats.
Furthermore, the engine bay carries a subtle signature under the newly-designed Alpina engine cover. The Alpina B7 will be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show in February. Sales will begin soon after. Pricing has yet to be announced.
