As you may know already, last week we showed you the impressive 2011 Audi A5 Coupe Sport by Project Kahn. Today, the British tuning company is back and showed us the Range Rover Sport Diablo. Afzal Kahn designed the Diablo and says that the car speaks to its owner's heart more than any other car in production today.
We do admit that the car looks great, but it appears that you will have to actually drive the car and hear its engine in order to understand the Diablo.
Regarding its looks, the exterior design comes with an impressive aerodynamic pack consisting of bullet side vents in red carbon, red rubber side steps and Kahn branding. The same theme is continued at the interior where the new bespoke touch suits the customer's own specifications. The exterior design is completed by the 22-inch RS lightweight wheels with red stripes.
Once again, the Range Rover Sport affirms its reputation as the most dynamic member of the Land Rover family with its complete package of changes in engineering and design for the 2010 model year. The vehicle has a new, stylish look that hints at transformation in progress, including two new powerful and efficient engines: the naturally aspirated LR-V8 and the supercharged 5.0-liter LR-V8. These display improved levels of interior craftsmanship and elegance as well as noteworthy improvements in terms of driving dynamics on and off the road.
An extensive program of chassis system modifications has enhanced the on-road dynamics of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport while significantly improving its off-road capabilities. It introduced new systems like Adaptive Dynamics, working together with existing Dynamic Response on Supercharged models and including the road-focused Dynamic program in the Terrain ResponseTM system to help in enhancing agility and ride quality. Additional improvements in the Terrain ResponseTM system make sure that the off-road capability is maintained at the top-of-the-class level as expected.
The stylish, powerfully-built exterior of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport has been updated to give it a cleaner and more sculpted look. Its eye-catching LED headlamps together with a 2-bar grille, fenders and front bumpers create an athletic and aerodynamic stance. New light clusters and a modified bumper design at the rear replicate the sleeker front.
The interior has been redesigned at length with the use of higher quality materials, soft-touch finishes and superb craftsmanship to provide a premium atmosphere truly worthy of the Range Rover brand.
The Range Rover Sport has created an ardent following among customers who need the performance and sophistication of a genuine sports tourer yet value the remarkable off-road capability of a Land Rover. Phil Popham said that now that the company has added more capabilities to the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, its followers are set to grow stronger even more.
According to product development director Phil Hodgkinson, the new LR-V8 engines best suit the sporting nature of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, delivering ample low-end torque as well as spirited performance alongside levels of refinement worth the Range Rover name.
