ABT tuners thought that the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan was somewhat lacking and so it created a custom package that targets both the looks and the performance of the German SUV. Volkswagen gave the Tiguan a much-awaited facelift earlier this year as the model has actually been in the market since 2007.
The ABT Volkswagen Tiguan facelift includes a new front grille, custom door strip attachments, a redesigned rear skirt that also fits in the exhaust system and a rear wing.
Furthermore, the car features light alloy wheels, ranging from 18 to 20 inch ones. It also gets new suspension springs that optimize stability during high speeds.
ABT raised the output on the engine lineup for the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan. From a standard output of 140 HP or 170 HP from the 2.0-litre TDI engine, ABT was able to increase the output to 170 HP and 195 HP respectively.
Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre TSI petrol plant, which is also available in two power stages as standard (180 HP and 210 HP) was given a boost to 210 HP and 250 HP respectively. The 1.4 TSI petrol, which used to produce 160 HP in standard form, could now develop 210 HP.
