Shelby American officially unveiled its latest muscle car, the 2015 Shelby GT based on the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Just like the previous model, the 2015 Shelby GT can be easily distinguished and some of its key features are the carbon fiber hood with customizable hood vents, the carbon fiber front splitter and rocker panels, carbon fiber 2-piece rear diffuser, carbon fiber rear deck lid as well as a trunk spoiler.
Moreover, the vehicle gets a carbon fiber hood extension, modular customizable billet aluminum upper and lower front grilles, Shelby GT stripes as well as badges on front grille and on C-pillars, but also a Shelby faux gas cap and “Powered by Ford” front fender badges, Shelby lettering on the trunk lid and a washer relocation kit. Inside, the 2015 Shelby GT features Shelby branded custom headrests, CSM dash plaque and engine plate, a carbon fiber dash pod with 3 gauges, Shelby GT door sill plates and Shelby branded floor mats.
Under the hood, there is a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine equipped with a Ford Racing supercharger as well as a new Ford Racing by Borla exhaust system with Shelby oval tips, in order to develop a staggering 627 hp (467 kW). Moreover, the vehicle gets Ford Racing half-shafts, a Ford Racing handling pack with upgraded shocks, springs and sway bars. A Ford Racing short throw shifter is available fo the manual cars.
Power is transmitted via the 20-inch Shelby Venice wheels by Weld Racing, which hide the Wilwood performance front brake upgrade. If you want more, Shelby offers the 700+ hp performance upgrade, painted carbon fiber options, rear brake upgrade, a Shelby custom interior on both stock and Recaro seats, front brake cooling system and carbon fiber air intakes.
Furthermore, the fog lights can be re-located, Shelby can also ad an air injection plate with channeling, an adjustable track suspension package, engine dress up package and a Shelby Extreme Cooling system. The price of the base Shelby GT modification, is $39,995 but it doesn't include the 2015 Mustang GT.
