Not yet expected to be available on the market until half of 2009, Porsche's Panamera but details about one of the first tuner kits for the vehicle, thanks to the most current representations from 9ff and TopCar, are already available. It must be remembered that 9ff is the firm at the back of other extreme Porsches like the Veyron-rivaling GT9R supercar and the 780hp (582 kW) 911 Turbo Cabrio.
The Russian-based TopCar is a firm that has combined forces with 9ff for this venture. The collaboration is shared as follows: 9ff will handle the performance upgrades, TopCar will handle the design aspects of the kit, and another firm called Cardi will actually manufacture the essential body parts.
The three companies have joined on identical projects prior to this one, and it is hoped that they can produce the hottest Porsche in the world this time around. However, the venture is still at its earliest phase.
Although there are yet no actual specs for the kit, several crucial details can be assumed from these representations as well as the final shape the Panamera itself will take on.
For the first time it is becoming clear how the vehicles passenger compartment will appear, counting the hatch window at the back, including the form of the taillights and the design of the rear diffuser.
It is asserted by 9ff says that all the external body panels will be changed by the kit, maybe providing a chance to put in order some of the more peculiar design features of the Panamera.
The regular Panamera is forecasted to be on sale with a number of assorted powerhouses ranging from a 3.6-liter V6 up to a dual-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8. Although, on its introduction only a couple of V8s, one naturally aspirated and the other turbocharged, will be offered and one of these is apt to be the base on which the package of 9ff will be designed on.
