AC Schnitzer upgrades the 2012 Bmw 650i Coupe

AC Schnitzer has built a package for the 6-Series that will make its debut at the Essen Motor Show. AC Schnitzer has recently unveiled its work on the BMW 1-Series F20. This latest tuning kit dubbed ASC6 Coupe comes with an ECU remap and a rear silencer that has a chrome finish for the 650i. The power of the V8 unit is raised from 407 to 540 hp.

Notably, the M5 offers 560hp, enabling the coupe to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds.

Its braking system includes eight-pistons for the front axle. Buyers have a wide array of lightweight alloy rims to choose from. AC Schnitzer made sure that the exterior revisions are subtle.

AC Schnitzer offers a front lip spoiler, a chrome finish for the kidney grille, and a reworked rear bumper. The interior of the ASC6 Coupe features a sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals, a Black Line aluminum cover for the i-Drive controller, and branded floor mats.

The new BMW 6-Series Coupe ushers the entry of an exclusive and exceptionally sporty 2+2-seater in the top-class coupes segment. This new model is longer and wider compared to its predecessor model and its height is 5 millimeters lower, thereby giving a powerful and strikingly low-set appearance.

The BMW 6-Series Coupe’s new interpretation of the traditional coupe proportions is enhanced by lines and surfaces that are inspired by waves. The flowing lines and smooth, graceful curves give the new two-door BMW a sense of athletic grace. These are further complemented by stunning and classy design features that highlight the car’s opulent character and sleek appearance.

The new car also boasts an expressive front end, with a large and slightly forward-leaning BMW kidney grille. The grille, with its broad and flat design, showcases the vehicle’s athletic pedigree, as well as creates a visual connection with the engine that’s nestled behind it. The kidney grille’s slats are slightly angled upward, lending extra emphasis to the “shark nose” character of the front end.

Moreover, the bonnet sports contour lines meet and form a V-shape towards the kidney grille and continue towards the headlights, kidney and wide air intake to exude a road-focused appearance. The car’s muscular wheel arches are emphasized by its high-quality chrome elements as well as by the optional foglamps with LED units.

Adaptive LED Headlights for High Visibility

The new BMW 6-Series Coupe has standard bi-xenon headlights. It also has an accent trim element cutting across the top of the hallmark BMW twin round headlights that produce the signature BMW intent look. There is also the optional Adaptive LED Headlights both for low and high beam. These contain LED light rings for both daytime running lights and parking lights and are leveled off at the lower edge as well as overlapped at the top edge by accent lights that are also equipped with LED. These result to a striking and distinctively BMW display of innovative light technology.

The Adaptive LED Headlights generate the low beam and high beam light from the two light rings. The light is from horizontal LED ribs that are positioned in the center of the light rings. BMW’s signature twin round headlight look is expressed more strikingly both when the daytime running lights are activated as well as when the headlights are switched on in the dark.

Press Release

AC Schnitzer ACS6

The F13 provides the sober model name of the third generation BMW 6 Series Coupé, which in October was presented officially to the public. With flair and technical know-how, the Aachen tuning specialists approached the project of the new "star in the sky-Coupe" (quote "GQ" magazine) to be a true AC Schnitzer .

Powerful, dynamic, elegant and fully suitable for everyday use, these are the qualities that the 6 Coupe by AC Schnitzer aptly describe. The 650i coupe by AC Schnitzer has been given a performance upgrade taking it from 407 HP (standard) to 540 hp. Now the eight-cylinder engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. Added to this is the AC Schnitzer power plant and engine bay styling, which demonstrates the power of the engine even when stopped. The AC Schnitzer twin sports rear silencer with chromed "Sport Trim" tailpipe trims right and left means that the 650i can also be seen and heard from behind.

For the export market, the Aachen tuning experts have developed an 8-piston high performance brake system for the front, in response to the increased driving power. The 8-piston fixed calipers on right and left, and the 8-piece set of brake pads with caliper holders together ensure that the "Bavarian Coupe" scrubs off the speed quickly and safely. The driving dynamics are further assisted over bumps by the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit.

The wheel arches can be perfectly filled with AC Schnitzer wheels and corresponding tires in Type IV BiColor or silver, Type V forged alloy rims in BiColor or Type VIII in BiColor or as forged racing rims in BiColor. A totally new addition to the range is the Type VIII forged alloy wheel in BiColor in 21-inch, which weighs in at just a sensational 11.5 kg (9.0J x 21") or 11.9 kg (10.0J x 21"). So in comparison with standard wheels (star spoke 311) in 20-inch, these offer a weight saving of 30%. And that's despite the fact that the AC Schnitzer Type VIII forged alloy wheels are a full inch larger.

The flowing, athletic form of the BMW 6 Series Coupé comes with the AC Schnitzer aerodynamic conversion clearly outlined. Front spoiler, chromed front grille and chrome decor strips can be fitted individually or as a harmonious set to realize the dream of an individual sporting vehicle. AC Schnitzer also offers a rear spoiler, rear skirt insert and loading lip protection film to give the bodywork of the 6-series coupe that finishing touch.

In the interior too, the 650i Coupe by AC Schnitzer lives up to its exterior promises. A sports airbag steering wheel, the AC Schnitzer "Black Line" aluminum cover for the i-Drive system controller and the AC Schnitzer aluminum foot rests and pedals, together with boot and foot mats in velours, ensure that the driver of this coupe enjoys a feeling of exclusivity.
