Arden AR8 City-Roader based on the Range Rover Evoque

Article by Christian A., on March 22, 2011

ARDEN takes a Range Rover Evoque and applies its AR8 City-Roader package on this new design. The stock Range Rover Evoque already boasts a powerful and modern styled exterior but ARDEN builds on this new design and makes the premium SUV have an appearance that’s stronger, sportier, and more urban.

For almost 40 years, ARDEN has carried a reputation of elegance, discreet sportiness and understatement – making it the contact point for customers who want to highlight the typical properties and also individually tune their Range Rovers, Jaguars, Bentleys, or MINIs.

The new ARDEN AR8 City-Roader is said to possess sporty youthful design and optimum performance. ARDEN added its aerodynamic components to the modern Evoque basic design, including front and rear apron, and side skirts, that Arden also offers illuminated if desired. The ARDEN AR 8 features a handmade stainless steel exhaust system that fits perfectly to the rear and whole design of the City-Roader. It ensures the perfect sound.

The 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine has added power of 30 hp to 270 hp. The ARDEN AR 8 City-Roader has been fitted with the sporty and elegant ARDEN Dakar II rims, which are beautiful and safe but also makes for a highly individualized grading.

A stainless steel plaque that has the customer’s personal lettering can be placed in a specially designated hollow. An ARDEN E-Solutions program provided the right sound and security, which means that with its three main areas of audio, multimedia, security, it may mean that there are nearly no limits to suiting your personal requirements.

The brand new Land Rover Range Rover Evoque was inspired by the LRX concept car, which got praises across the globe for its exciting, fresh interpretation of the traditional design cues of the Range Rover.

Smart design together with in depth engineering allowed the spirit of the LRS concept to become a reality without compromising the core values of the Range Rover, namely: superior performance, all-terrain competence and interior luxury. Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern said that the Range Rover Evoque causes the Range Rover design to evolve in a daring way by taking on fresh interpretations of the Range Rover classic design cues while adhering to the brand’s core values.

The Evoque has an exceptionally dynamic profile as well as a powerful, athletic stance, thanks to its remarkable rising beltline, muscular shoulder that runs down the length of the car plus a distinct tapered roofline.

The car owes its purposeful stance to its wheels that are pushed out to all corners. It has wide wheel arches softly incorporated into the body whereas the finely sculpted corners significantly reduce its front and rear visual overhangs.

Perfectly Crafted Deluxe Interior

Underneath the dramatic exterior of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is a perfectly crafted deluxe cabin integrating the best quality materials plus an elegant design that customers look for in a Range Rover interior.

According to Gerry McGovern, the simple yet strong cabin architecture is revealed through the connection between the instrument panel’s solid horizontal elements and the center console’s dominant vertical lines.

In the compact SUV section, the Evoque lets customers specify a lavishly chosen cabin that has soft, high quality leather and skillfully custom-made twin-needle stitching that gives a luxurious finish to nearly all surfaces of the seats, doors and instrument panel. Boldly contrasting the calming aroma and supple touch of natural hides are the authentic metal finishes that offer a sequence of eye-catching highlights. Delicately crafted and cold to touch, the metal finishes serve as a tangible and visible reminder of the superb interior quality.

Underneath a compact curved binnacle is the instrument cluster that contributes to the sporty, fine quality interior feel. Twin dials with a striking, 3-dimensional form that comes with chunky, lighted chaplets and needles are located deep within circular housings in bright chrome rim finishes.
