Cargraphic, the German tuner, has released its latest performance upgrade for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage which enhances power, design, and handling. The tuner has revised the car's 4.5 liter V8 unit raising its power output from 426hp (313kW) to 466hp (342kW), and adding 24lb-ft (32Nm) of torque.
These numbers give the car a sprint rate from 0-100km/h in under 5 seconds. The car has improved its response speed throughout the rev range with a new throttle map combined with the boost in torque.
Also available in the package is a new driver-adaptable suspension system that is capable of lowering the ride height of the car by 20mm. The system comes with two modes, normal and sport, which can be switched by the driver with a push of the button from where the driver sits.
The normal mode was intended to improve the Vantage's current ride and handling traits, while the sports setting brings in an even more focused driving pleasure on either the street of the track.
The engine performance package has improved the exhaust system with a low back pressure sports catalyst and a manual driver-controlled switch to override the exhaust valve.
This provides three options of quiet mode, where the valve is permanently closed, an auto, where the valve functions just like it does on the regular car, and sport mode, where the valve is permanently open.
This is the exact same valve that makes the Aston produce one of the best exhaust sound there is. The aerodynamics of the V8 Vantage has also been tested in a wind-tunnel to improve an aero package that reduces high speed lift.
The aero pack consists of a carbon-fiber front spoiler lip, rear air spoiler and diffuser, side skirts and mirror housing set which will precisely fit if they come from the Gaydon factory of Aston Martin. The package is rounded off by lightweight three-piece wheels coming in 19 and 20 inch diameters, a sport classic design and GTR racing style.
