Imperium unveiled today its latest customization program for the new generation Bentley Continental GT Coupe. Dubbed Audentia (a direct Latin translation for ‘boldness and courage’), the new kit is already available to order but you’d better hurry up, as the upgrade will be limited to only 50 units worldwide.
As you can see from the photo, the new kit features a new front bumper with integrated grille and air vents, new side sills as well as a new rear apron.
The rear apron features a new boot lip spoiler, a subtle rear air diffuser and a new set of sports exhaust tips. What is more interesting is that each vehicle will receive customer’s preferred choice of PU-RIM plastic or ultra light prepreg autoclave carbon fibre. Prices for the tuning kit start at £25,000 or almost $40,000.
Still, the tuning company didn’t tell us if they will also upgrade the engine, which means that the vehicle will keep its impressive 6.0-liter W12 engine delivering 575PS (567bhp/423kW) and 700Nm (516lb ft) of torque. For those who don’t know, the Continental GT is capable to hit 60mph in 4.4 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds), 100mph in 10.2 seconds (0-160km/h in 10.2 seconds) and has a top speed of 198 mph (318km/h).
When the Bentley Continental GT was first presented in 2003, it not only symbolized that first step in the revival of the brand but also managed to define a new segment in the market. Both ground-breaking and successful, this luxury GT delivered exceptional usability while staying true to the grand touring spirit of the brand.
As such, when the design team and the engineering team of Crewe were given a chance to work on the new Bentley Continental GT coupe, they grabbed the opportunity as it would allow them to set a strong and exciting direction for one of the brand’s most respected name, none other than the Continental.
Using the success of the iconic model before it, this new 4-seat coupe not only manages to get that GT spirit but even put in higher standards when it comes to craftsmanship, design, dynamic performance, engineering, everyday practicality, luxury, and refinement. Under the hood of the new Continental GT is the twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder 6-liter powertrain whose output has been increased to 575 PD (423 kW/567 bhp) with maximum torque coming in at 700 Nm (516 lb.-ft.).
This is paired to the Quickshift transmission which allows for double downshifts. By utilizing the advanced FlexFuel technology, the engine can run on unleaded gasoline, environment-friendly bioethanol up to E85, or even a mixture of the two.
For the design, the new body is stunningly sculptured which results in a look that is sharper and crisper. The interior has a more modern appearance and delivers higher levels of hand-crafted luxury, comfort, and cabin design. Its seats offer better support and larger leg-room in the rear. The sweeping dashboard meanwhile now has more modernity and style.
An example of the technological feature fitted is the touchscreen infotainment which has entertainment, Google Maps, and the latest navigation system. For those who want to listen to music, there is the Balanced Mode Radiator speaker technology which, when combined with the Dirac Dimensions digital sound processing, results in improved audio quality.
