Cargraphic presents new air suspension for Porsche 911 and Audi R8

Article by Christian A., on August 25, 2010

Cargraphic gladly announces the introduction of their latest patented automatic level control system called "Airlift Suspension System." This automatic suspension system assists in road elevation problems encountered in driving a high performance lowered sports cars like the Porsche 996/997 or the Audi R8 around busy city streets.

The front suspension is fitted with a wireless remote control unit that is driver-operated, and which enables the front suspension to be raised by 55mm to negotiate road obstacles such as speed humps, park ramps, high curbs and others to avoid expensive and unnecessary damage to the car's front spoiler and underside.

The "Airlift Suspension" also automatically returns back to normal position when the car reaches the speed of 50km/h in cases where the driver forgets to lower it. The system can be utilized on road, track and race cars without any adverse effect on handling or performance or the choice of wheel/tire combination.

The system has been extensively tested by Cargraphic and can be installed directly into all Porsche 911 series 996 and 997 cars fitted BILSTEIN as well as the GT2 and GT3 fitted with original shocks and will soon include the Audi R8 as well as other high performance versions.

The Cargraphic Airlift Suspension comes in two versions as either a complete kit that comes with BILSTEIN B16 suspension or as an upgrade package for OE coil over suspensions. To upgrade OE suspension it has to be brought to Cargraphic headquarters in Landau for a one-day testing. Unlike other elevation systems currently available on the market, the Airlift Suspension sets itself apart by its revolutionary design and function.
