The tuning specialists at G-Power have recently released a new TYPHOON X5 M project that offers a Typhoon wide body kit for the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and boosts its performance even further. G-Power gave the BMW X5 M a new exterior package that features an optimized air flow that improves cooling by about 15%.
As a result, the tuner was able to install various performance parts that boost the power up to 725 hp at 6,000 rpm and the torque to 890 Nm at 1,500 rpm. The torque is electronically limited and was increased to 1,000 Nm. The X5 M’s standard transmission was also modified.
The vehicle’s twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 unit is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust that uses sport catalytic converters and special exhaust manifolds for the turbochargers.
In addition, it gets an ECU remap. The engine was given optimized connection pipes between the turbochargers and the cylinder heads. With these modifications, the SAV can now accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds.
Its top speed is now over 186 mph (300 km/h). The exterior kit, which was developed using a 3D scanner and CAD technology, provides bold, flared wheel arches, aggressive front and rear bumpers, as well as new side skirts and are made of PU RIM.
G-Power also placed underbody panels that improve aerodynamics. The G-Power X5M Typhoon rides on SILVERSTONE RS forged wheels that were designed specifically for this kit. They have a 23-inch size and are wrapped in Michelin 315/25 ZR23 tires. The suspension was also modified to offer superior handling.
