Tuning company GEMBALLA is now offering an extension of the AERO 1 package for the Porsche Cayenne 958. The new kit, dubbed as AERO 2, builds on the components included in the AERO 1 package that was introduced in 2012 and offers enhancements to the sports car’s aerodynamics while giving the premium SUV a bigger presence on the road.
The Porsche Cayenne 958 can be considered a piece of art, boasting a chic design that is actually larger but gives the appearance of being compact. To further enhance the Cayenne’s vaunted individuality, GEMBALLA uses a modular system, which also allows owners to add AERO 2 to the entry-level AERO 1 kit at any time.
When the AERO 2 kit is selected, owners could avail of wheel arch extensions and connecting side sills that further highlight the car’s width. Since GEMBALLA uses the modular system, any addition from the AERO 2 kit can be done easily.
For instance, if a Cayenne owner already has the AERO 1 Kit fitted, he or she could install wheel arches from the AERO 2 kit as the next step. Also available in the kit is a set of unique 22-inch wheels from GEMBALLA, which could help boost the Cayenne’s appeal.
GEMBALLA’s wheels keep unsprung weight down to about the same level as the standard 20-inch wheels. GEMBALLA also offers a cast version of the wheel design for customers who might not have enough money to pay for the 22-inch wheels.
GEMBALLA manufactures all AERO 2 components only from the highest quality carbon fiber in Germany. Since the company’s components are all designed to fit the Cayenne’s original mounting points, there is no need to cut or drill into the car.
To make sure that all its components precisely fit the base vehicle, GEMBALLA uses state-of-the-art digital measuring equipment. GEMBALLA chief executive Andreas Schwarz remarked that the company’s design process guarantees the highest fitting accuracy, which means that any repair or removal of the kits will be straightforward and cost effective.
More efficient and more dynamic, moving everyone's gaze into the future of innovation and in athletic, sleek design - the latest Cayenne is more Porsche than usual.
Leading the pack is the Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid, the pioneer of production cars made by Porsche with hybrid drive. It’s part of the latest generation of models that lead the way in terms of innovative efficiency, with a decrease in fuel consumption by up to 23 percent compared to the former variants.
Similar to any Porsche, the latest Cayenne has been improved based on the principle of Porsche Intelligent Performance: less fuel on more power, better efficiency and CO2 emissions that are significantly lower.
Based on the information, three out of five variants in the roster are still below the limit of ten liters fuel use per 100 kilometers in the New European Driving Cycle. Two models - the Cayenne S Hybrid at 193 g/km and the Cayenne Diesel at 195 g/km - remain under the emission limit of 200 grams of CO2 per kilometer as well.
This noticeable decrease of fuel consumption through the total range of Porsche Cayenne models results, among others, from the launch of Porsche's new eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission that comes with Auto Start Stop and a more extensive array of gear increments, thermal function on the transmission cooling circuit and the engine, recovery of the on-board network, configurable overrun cut-off and constant cutting down of weight and smart lightweight manufacturing.
