Kicherer SLS 63 Supersport based on Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Article by Christian A., on December 1, 2010

Kicherer has developed a new aftermarket program for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, upgrading its powerplant as well as its exterior and interior. Kicherer modified the supercar’s naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 (with an output of 571 hp and 651 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque) to enable it to produce 610 hp and 670 Nm (494 lb-ft) of torque.

Kicherer achieved this by using an ECU remap and stainless steel for its final pipe covers (four pipes).

The vehicle has also been given a set of RS-1 multi-part forged rims. With regards to the suspension, this vehicle got a lift kit from KW that can lift the vehicle by 30 mm (1.18 inch) at the touch of a button.

According to its press release, this complete chassis resolves the difficulties presented by parking garages, garage entries or steps.

With the KICHERER lift-up threaded chassis, the vehicle also offers excellent driving characteristics in quick bends.

It claims that driving is “much more sportive and secure” but without compromising comfort. The vehicle received a set of carbon fiber exterior modifications, including a front spoiler lip and rear diffuser lips. The car’s interior makes considerable use of carbonfiber for its new trimming.
