AC Schnitzer has introduced a tuned vehicle based on the Electric MINI that has been given a police car theme. The Electric MINI was seen at this year’s Essen Motor Show.
This vehicle is included in the Verband Deutscher Automobil Tuner’s (VDAT) TUNE IT SAFE! Project. It is the sixth release of the campaign, which seeks to combine high tuning standards with a maximum safety level.
To come up with this Police look, the vehicle was given a blue finish with custom Foliatec stickers, as well as Hella roof lights. It also received new front and rear skirts, as well as a set of bonnet vents.
The tuner didn’t change the vehicle’s electric drivetrain, which delivers 204 hp. The vehicle features several technical modifications. It was given a set of MI 2 rims that come in a 18-inch size and are covered with Hankook tires.
When it comes to the suspension, the vehicle was fitted with racing-inspired components. The tuner also installed a high-performance braking system that comes with 328x28 mm front discs and four-pot calipers. Aluminum elements can be seen on the pedals and handbrake handle.
AC Schnitzer, more than almost any other tuning specialist for the MINI brand, stands for individuality and safety. Consequently, the Aachen-based company has largely taken responsibility for the MINI and provided a uniquely spectacular campaign vehicle.
The MINI E in Police Look was presented for the first time at the Essen Motor Show 2010 and has since appeared as a symbolic vehicle at numerous shows and tuning events.
