The tuning specialists at Novitec Rosso have revealed a new tuning program for the Ferrari California. With this package, the car's 4.3 liter V8 powerplant becomes capable of delivering 606 HP (at 7,900 rpm) and 603 Nm of torque (at 5,500 rpm).
This boosts the car even further than the modification pack that the tuner offered at the end of 2009 that made for a 500 Hp output from the engine.
This much power was obtained with the installation of a supercharger that provides a 0.4 boost pressure.
Novitec Rosso also gave the car a water-to-air intercooler, a special intake manifold, larger fuel injectors and a custom exhaust system, which has a system that enables the driver to control the intensity of the sound.
A new ECU software coordinates all these elements. With this level of power and torque, the supercar is able to hit the 100 km/h mark in 3.8 seconds.
The top speed is recorded at 325 km/h. The Novitec Rosso Ferrari California rides on NF3 wheels (21 inch for the front axle and 22 inch for the rear) that are wrapped in Pirelli tires that have been custom-made for the car (244/30 for the front wheels and 315/25 for the rear ones). The car's suspension was adapted for this tire/rim combination.
The car is moved 35 mm closer to the ground and it now uses a hydraulic lift system that can bring up the front end by 40mm.
To improve aerodynamics, the car is fitted with a front spoiler, rocker panels featuring airfoils, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser and discreet boot spoiler. When it comes to bespoke interior changes, Novitec Rosso offers materials such as leather and Alcantara that come in a wide array of colors.
