Article by Christian Andrei, on November 27, 2011

Afzal Kahn’s package based on the Range Rover 2012 RS300 edition is simply stunning. Some may even think that it came from the original manufacturer. This 8 piece pace car is a fugi white Range Rover. It has an edgy bespoke composite and it has kept the original Range Rover's decorum while it also features Cosworth's heritage. Just like other A Kahn Design bespoke vehicles, the 2012 RS300 edition has received an excellent Cosworth aerodynamic styling package.

It appears immaculate on the outside. Its body kit extends its flawless lines. It also has the Cosworth vented front and rear wheel arch spats with integrated air dams, led daytime running lights in front air dams, Cosworth front grille with 3D mesh and exhaust side vents that all limit the excessiveness that other aftermarket SUV dressers have committed.

In addition, it comes with a diamond gear selector, RS300 rev counter, Cosworth speedo, Cosworth time clock facia insert, Cosworth stainless steel door entry sill plates, Cosworth machined aluminum vented foot pedals, Cosworth quad diagonal exhaust system, calipers (painted in special heat resistant paint and offered in a wide array of colors) and Kahn branding. For only £65,875, this vehicle could be yours.

According to design director Gerry McGovern, Land Rover gave the Range Rover Sport a neater yet more muscular look that exudes the dynamics of its new high performance engines. He remarked that the Range Rover Sport features a new frontal graphic created by its two-bar grille, a larger air intake and new signature LED headlamps – thereby augmenting its sporty stance.

The new Range Rover Sport comes with a design theme that highlights its status as the most dynamic Land Rover model. Its new two-bar grille and larger air intake helps give the vehicle’s front end a slimmer, sportier and lower-slung face as emphasized by its new signature LED headlamps.

In addition, the Range Rover Sport as well as a new front bumper that seemingly merges with its redesigned front fenders to create a sculpted surface that could enhance aerodynamics and give the vehicle a lower visual stance.

Meanwhile, the sides of the Range Rover Sport are marked by two-stripe LED indicators and redesigned two-section fender vents, as well as color coded door mirrors. On the other hand, the rear end of the new vehicle features light clusters derived from the Range Rover, as well as sculpted bumper design with a styling similar to that of the front end.

The Land Rover Range Rover Sport could also be availed with new front wheel deflectors and new 19- and 20-inch tires that have been optimized for enhanced tire wear and rolling resistance. Aside from the exterior improvements, the new Range Rover Sport also boasts of a redesigned interior featuring increased levels of quality and craftsmanship.

While the interior still boasts of its popular cockpit feel, it is laden with higher quality materials and lavish soft-touch finishes, as well as superior interior detailing. Major surfaces now feature leather as the main material in a wider color selection. In addition, the interior comes with rich dark shades that sandwich narrow sections in lighter tones. Moreover, the interior features stylish wood finishes.
