The Michigan-based tuning specialist Specter Werkes has released an enhanced variant of the C6-based Corvette GTR they revealed almost a year ago and it is currently on sale.
The model is Specter Werkes' special and showy rendition of the modified supercar's basic form where a bespoke bodywork is combined with a clearly American understanding of what a supercar should be.
Besides the individualized design, the car comes with an additional 80hp (60kW) above the retiring model, for a total of 615hp (459kW) and 578lb-ft (783Nm) of top torque.
The firm will offer a number of tune levels, but it will be founded on a stroked LS3 that increased displacement from 6.2 liters to 6.8 liters. A Corsa exhaust and full widebody enhancement is fitted into the vehicle, while its suspension has been widened and it also comes with a broader covering.
Included in the complete bodykit are carbon fiber details on the exterior, a fresh front and rear section, air splitter in carbon fiber, extractor hood, front and rear fenders, doors, rocker panels, and a rear air diffuser in carbon fiber.
The car sits atop special Forgeline VR3P wheels that come in 19 in diameter for the front and 20 inch diameter for the back to accommodate the large 285/30ZR19 front and 335/25ZR20 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Zero Press rubber. For powerful and precise stopping power, the car comes with the Stop Tech 15 inch slotted brake discs and six pistons at the front couples with 14 inch and four piston calipers at the back.
The exterior of the car is done in BASF liquid silver color paint finish, used on the Mercedes-Benz AMG models and the interior receives standard GTR embroidered seats and Spinneybeck leather trim accents.
The Corvette GTR comes with a basic price of $35,000, just like the preceding version, with more bespoke features offered for a premium. Modifications and enhancements are offered all over the Corvette family of cars including the base Coupe, the latest Grand Sport, Z06 and also the ZR1. Every GTR model is custom-made to order and comes with both identification and documentation to show just that.
