The Bentley Bentayga is the most expensive luxury SUV there is in the market today with a price tag of about $230,000. But this luxury SUV has a polarizing look that seems to be a bit off for a Bentley ensemble. Many share the opinion that the Bentayga is able to (somewhat) make up for its appearance by packing 600 horsepower inside its twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 as well as accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with a 184 mph top speed.
However, there are just some who wish that Bentley should’ve invested more on the Bentayga’s appearance than make it look like one of their coupes but in a SUV’s body. Good thing there are auto tuners around the world who for some reason, like a bit of a challenge. For those Bentayga owners who wish for a better looking Bentayga, then Startech can do the magic for you.
Startech is part of German high-performance auto tuning company Brabus and specializes in tuning Bentleys, Jaguars, Land Rovers and Range Rovers. Just recently, Startech released a “refined” version of the Bentayga focusing mostly on retaining its sporty elegance while improving aerodynamics and some of its physical features.
The Startech-tuned Bentayga comes with king-sized 23-inch wheels which Startech suspension engineers call the Monostar S wheels. Custom-developed by Continental, the Monostar S wheels works perfectly with Bentayga’s 184 mph top speed and saving up to 15% in weight. The wheels are built to conquer extreme road conditions.
The Bentayga will be lowered by up to 25 millimeters, making fast cornering safer and quicker. The luxury SUV will have new front and rear bumpers; the former will come with integrated spoiler and larger air intakes to optimize airflow through the engine, radiators, front brakes and wheel-well while the latter will come with an impressing integrated diffuser. It also comes with an LED taillight that serves as a rear fog light and back up light. Customers may also opt to add-on a Startech rear spoiler lip for an added touch of sportiness.
Startech doesn’t stop with the exterior as the interior may be upgraded as well. Their upholstery shop has a variety of colors and materials to choose from – ranging from leather to Alcantara and precious wood as well as carbon fiber. Scuff plates may be customized to have a backlit STARTECH logo while high-quality velour floor mats and aluminium pedals and footrest may also come as an option.
Weight must also be reduced to optimize handling stability and improve aerodynamics. Thus, Startech offers bodywork components in naked carbon fiber to improve its aerodynamics and give the Bentayga a sportier look.
The engine is the same as the original although Startech is currently developing an upgrade. However, a quad sport exhaust system is also made available for the adrenaline junkies. Customers are also offered two integrated electronic sound management – a subtle “Coming Home” mode and a Sport mode. The Bentayga will run as quietly as a stalking predator with the whisper mode while it will unleash the beast inside its turbocharged V12 in Sport Mode.
So there you have it, all these and more will upgrade the Bentayga into an even fiercer luxury SUV competitor. The tuned luxury SUV will come with a comprehensive 3-year 100,000-kilometer warranty in accordance with Startech’s terms and conditions.
