Techart upgrades the 2012 Porsche 911 (991) Carrera and Carrera S

Article by Christian Andrei, on December 13, 2011

Techart revealed the first individualization options for the 2012 Porsche 911 (991) Carrera and Carrera S. Still, we will have to tell you that the Techart Aerodynamic Kit I for the new Porsche 911 will be unveiled in March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Right now, you will have to deal with the classic and elegant five-spoke Techart Formula light alloy wheel in 20- and 21-inch size.

But, if you don’t like these wheels, the Tecahrt Formula III forged light alloy wheel with five dynamically shaped twin-spokes will be available in Spring 2012 in the same sizes.

Moreover, the design of the car is completed by the new Techart sport tailpipes made of polished stainless steel with a dual oval tube or a round tube, but also by the exterior trim parts in carbon fibre or custom colour. The interior received a new Techart 3-spokes sport steering wheel but also by the new set of pedals.

Exterior Design

TechArt also offers personalization on the exterior of the Porsche 911. Customers can therefore look forward to the approaching spring to get more out of their car. Since spring signals the start of the warm season, TechArt presents the classic light alloy five-spoke wheel available in either the 20-inch or 21-inch size.

This is only for the 991 though. The spaces between the spokes are combined with the flowing shape in order to give the needed finish. The upshot of this is that it can give a better view of the Porsche’s braking system. TechArt gives the choice to have the calipers painted in the customer’s color of choice.

This means that the system not only looks amazing but it is also functional in that it effectively disperses heat. In addition, the TechArt Formula III light-alloy five twin-spokes wheel can be availed in similar sizes. The use of the light alloy reduces the weight by as much as 15% and increases the dynamic of driving by reducing the unsprung and rotating mass.

Interior Design

Many buyers of the Porsche 911 Carrera or the Carrera S want their cars to have a more personal touch and this is now possible through TechArt. TechArt offers individualization that covers a wide range of possibilities from the interior to the steering wheel and even on the wheels, guaranteeing that each is unique.

An example of customization in the interior is the 3-spoke steering wheel that not only uses premium materials but is even handcrafted. There is also the paddle shifters from TechArt that enable quick shifting and allow precise control in order to get the feeling of being on the track and getting maximum enjoyment while driving.

There are other different options available on the Porsche 911 by TechArt that match the distinct trait of the driver.

For those who want to show style, TechArt uses a decorative stitching on the leather interior in the color of the driver’s choice. There is also the choice of a diamond design with a carbon fiber styling package and combined with a customized color.

Decorative accents in alcantara or the best leather can also be added. What this all means is that TechArt gives a large number of options for the customers.

Exterior refinement for the Porsche 911

TechArt customers are looking forward to the upcoming spring to satisfy their desire of driving pleasure and driving dynamics. With the beginning of the warmer times of the year TechArt offers its customers the classic and elegant five-spoke TechArt Formula light alloy wheel in 20- and 21-inch size for the 991. Its flowing shape incorporates large spaces between the spokes and gives a finishing touch to the car.

This results not only in a clear view of the braking system, with painted calipers in custom color as an option, but also in effective heat dispersal. Furthermore the TechArt Formula III forged light alloy wheel with five dynamically shaped twin-spokes is available at spring in the same sizes. A weight advantage of up to 15 % compared to a light alloy wheel results in a reduction of the rotating and unsprung mass and increased driving dynamics of the Porsche 911.

In combination to the unique wheel design, the TechArt sport tailpipes made of polished stainless steel with a dual oval tube or a round tube as well as exterior trim parts in carbon fibre or custom color let the new 911 be an unmistakable individual piece.
