Tuning: Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano by Novitec Rosso

Article by Christian Andrei, on August 29, 2010

The tuning specialists at Novitec Rosso applied their skills on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and called it the Performance Stage 3 package. They raised the power output to 660 hp / 485.7kW however, the modifications brought to the engine block did not alter its inner workings.

The conversion was made by a new engine management system composed of new mapping for ignition and injection as well as an increase in maximum engine speed to 8,550 rpm.

As a result of these engine modifications, the car's top speed also increased by 5 km/h to 335 km/h. Pricing for the conversion starts at 10,490 euros. The Novitec Rosso sport exhaust system, which is available in two different versions, features four tailpipes with diameters of 90 millimeters.

The tuners also worked on a system with controllable exhaust flap. If you want to change the exhaust note, you can simply operate the "Manettino" switch on the steering wheel.

The package also includes styling and aerodynamic changes. A new front spoiler lip was fitted on the production bumper that reduces lift on the front axle, and a new rear wing and diffuser. New rocker panels come with large air dams.

All the aerodynamic components are available in clear-coated carbon fiber. Other exterior accessories include black taillights, side markers and auxiliary brake light as well as the new LED rear fog lights.

The double-spoke wheels are fitted with Pirelli high-performance tires. They're available in various color combinations to suit your personal preferences. The front axle features size 9Jx20 wheels with size 275/30 ZR 20 tires, while the rear axle was fitted with 12.5Jx21 wheels with tires in size 355/25 ZR 21.

Novitec Rosso tuners outdid themselves. In addition to all these modifications, they also put a button in the cockpit, which if pressed, raises the front of the car by 40 millimeters to safely navigate parking-garage ramps or speed bumps. If the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h, it automatically reverts to its original position.
