The original VW Golf GTI started the sporty compact car class in 1976. Today, after 35 years, the sixth generation continues to set the class standards. Now, there is a new release from GTI35.com, set to arrive in time for the anniversary. WUNSCHEL SPORT served as its highly competent tuning partner. To add to its already outstanding power, professionals from Röslau, Bavaria added 50 hp more to the 4-cylinder turbo engine’s power output.
The engine management system has been newly calibrated to boost the power output of the directly-injected engine from 210 hp / 154 kW (standard) to 260 hp / 191 kW at 5,700 rpm. At the same time, the peak torque leaps from 280 Nm to 360 Nm, offered on a 2,600 to 5,100 rpm plateau.
