U.K. car production goes down by 59%

UK Car FactoryAccording to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, vehicle production in the UK fell by 59% last February year-on-year. This has been expected since most of the manufacturers cut or halted production due to a fall in sales in recent months and unsold cars are stockpiling. After the report the chief executive of SMMT Paul Everitt appealed to the government to aid the car industry especially in short-time working, easier access to fiancé and credit and the implementation of a vehicle scrappage scheme.
