Upcoming Alfa Romeo 169 will use Dodge Charger’s platform

The latest reports are saying that the forthcoming Alfa Romeo 169 will be founded on the platform of the Dodge Charger and will be manufactured in the Brampton facility in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The car is set to see production by 2011 and will have a US price of $62,000. This sharing of platform is a direct consequence of the new Fiat-Chrysler alliance, with 300 models of Chrysler sharing the same platform with the Charger. Further reports say that the Fiat 500 will be manufacture in Toluca Mexico and will hit US markets by July of 2011. The carmakers expect sales to reach 25,000 units by 2015. No details for the Alfa Romeo 169 is currently available.
