US Supreme Court clears the way for Fiat

After the appeal of the three Indiana funds to delay the sale of Chrysler was rejected by the US Supreme Court the Italian carmaker Fiat was granted authorization to strike a partnership with the bankrupt car manufacturer Chrysler. The said court ruled that a full appeal against the plan was not reasonable. The government of the United States has supported the sale of Chrysler and gladly welcomed the verdict of the Supreme Court. Now the partnership between Chrysler and Fiat can move forward, giving Chrysler the change to come out as a competitive and viable carmaker. No court from the bottom up to the Supreme Court saw anything at fault in the handling of the matter by either the US government or Chrysler. This is the very first time that the Supreme Court had to deal with legal issues that involved the government of the United States and its power to handle an economic situation.
