Vath V58K based on the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG

The dilemma of tuning production cars is that many times there's just too little to improve on them. This brings tuning firms to opt for the extreme designs and modifications that come nothing short of overkill. In all of the excesses though, sometimes a car will come out unlike all others and such a car has just come out in the form of the Vath V58K, which is an excessive interpretation of AMG's SLK 55.

Vath decided that the 5.5-liter engine of the SLK was not enough so they increased displacement to 5.8-liters and added a turborcharger to it to improve power from the original 360hp (269kW) to a monstrous 565hp (421kW) and torque from 377lb-ft (510Nm) to a remarkable 569lb-ft (770Nm).

This combination enables the car to accelerate from 0-100kmp in just 4 seconds, about a second slower than the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. It can achieve a ceiling sped of 186mph (300km/h). The aerodynamic package for the V58K consists of big 19-inch rims with 235/35 and 265/30 tires for more road grip, carbon fiber front lip spoiler and a fresh stainless steel sport exhaust.
