A more fuel-economic variant with less emission has been added to Vauxhall's Insignia Sports Tourer range: the Insignia Ecoflex Sports Tourer. Vauxhall claims that the car has CO2 emissions of 139g/km and combined fuel economy of 53.7mpg. It is also reported to travel up to 826 miles on a single tank of fuel. The car, which uses the same 158bhp/280lb ft 2.0-litre CDTi unit found in the Ecoflex saloon and hatchback models, can go from 0-60mph in 9.3sec and has a top speed of 134mph. Upgrades over the regular Sports Tourer model include modified front air intakes, a closed upper front grille, a lower ride height and low-resistance tires. Reducing drag and lift, two underbody spoilers have also been added to help direct air over the rear axle. The Insignia Ecoflex Sports Tourer is on sale now with prices starting from £21,515.
