Vauxhall has now made available to its customers VX Protect, a company-approved paint protection sealant produced in conjunction with Supagard. Now available from Vauxhall retailers, VX Protect is a high tech polymer sealant that creates a shielding coating on top of the paintwork. This resilient, glossy and transparent coating seals the paint and protects it from harmful atmospheric pollutants, keeping the Vauxhall units looking as good as new for longer. Most of the time, unprotected paintwork is uneven, which means it could easily be faded by UV solar rays. This exposes the metalwork underneath the faded paint rust and corrosion. However, paint treated with the VX Protect benefits from a microfilm sealant that creates a uniform finish, thus preventing fading and corrosion.
VX Protect is a one-off formula, which means once applied, it won’t have to be augmented or reapplied. On top of that, Vauxhall is offering a lifetime warranty on VX Protect if applied on a new Vauxhall, valid for the first owner up to 100,000 miles. Vauxhall is also offering a three-year warranty on VX Protect if applied to a used Vauxhall car or commercial vehicle. The core VX Protect paint protection is similar to the ‘100 plus’ offering from Supagard, although Vauxhall customers can take advantage from bolt-on aftercare products. Coming along each paint protection pack is a complimentary aftercare pack with products that help owners care for their paint protection. Customers could also avail of additional bolt-on products separately.
The bolt-on packs range from VX Protect 1 with Exterior aftercare kit, which includes Paintseal Cream and car shampoo; to VX Protect 4 Total Care with canvas bag, complete Aftercare pack and Wizemark solution that includes: car shampoo, Bird Lime Neutraliser, wheel cleaner, sponge, window sticker, emergency kit, chamois kit, alloy wheel brush, Paintseal Cream and glass cleaner. It also includes RainScreen, Wizemark Security Solution, a three-year key finder, personal item security marketing and a £500 guaranteed payout if the car is stolen and not recovered, or written-off.
