Vauxhall will be launching its all-new ADAM vehicle at the “Mondial de l’Automobile,” to be held in Paris from September 27 to October 14, 2012. Considered as fashionable and stylish, ADAM will be unveiled in the most perfect place to be, Paris – the fashion capital of the world. The event is also perfect for ADAM, as over 1.5 million people are expected to visit “Mondial de l’Automobile,” considered as world’s most popular motor show and the perfect setting for the fashionable newcomer. Vauxhall’s place at the motor show could be found at Hall 5.2 stand 501, where visitors are treated to a remarkable display of ADAM in different styling combinations. Visitors could also use the interactive stations on the stand to create their very own ADAM.
The new model is based around the three trim levels: JAM (fashionable/colorful), GLAM (elegant/sophisticated) and SLAM (racy/sporty). Through the interactive stations, visitors could explore how to personalise their own ADAM according to their taste, at the touch of a button. While the Vauxhall ADAM brought new innovations in car design, it also tops its class in terms of technology, providing features typically offered only in higher-end cars. For instance, ADAM is offering its top-of-the-range ‘My Media’ infotainment system, which integrates the owner’s smartphone with the car, effectively allowing internet-based applications to be accessed from the front-mounted touch screen. My Media supports both android and Apple iOS units.
Customers could order an ADAM powered by one of the three efficient ecoFLEX four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.2-litre 70PS, a 1.4-litre 87PS or 1.4-litre 100PS. All engines are available with optional Start/Stop technology, with power transmitted to wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. The ADAM is set to arrive in the United Kingdom in early 2013.
