Velozzi presents the Solo plug-in hybrid electric crossover

The creator of the mysterious "eco friendly, plug-in, multi-fuel electric hybrid" rumoured for quite a lot but never seen, Vellozi, revealed some images of its new concept, the SOLO crossover.
The sports vehicle is supposed to get power from a plug-in hybrid with an on-board multi fuel micro turbine battery charger produced for all the markets around the world. Featuring a innovative micro turbine technology, the Solo will be able to consume all kinds of fuel such as gasoline, diesel, ethanol, methanol, butanol, biodiesel to natural gas. The new Solo will be an entirely environmental friendly vehicle also in terms of components and design as the producer will make use of lightweight materials(carbon fiber nano tubes etc.) for its construction. In terms of performance the car will reach 60 km/h in 6 seconds with a top speed limited to130mph. But for now we can only dream to see such a specimen on the streets as the mass production is planned for the end of 2011 or even 2012.
