Video: 2009 Hyundai i20 makes its debut in Paris

The new Hyundai i20 made its official debut last week at the Paris Motor Show, in the five-doors version. The car that is going to be officially launched in Europe towards the end of 2008, is based on the new platform with a wheelbase that measures 2,525mm. When it will be launched, the Hyundai i20 will be available in three levels of comfort: Classic, Comfort, Style and Premium, featuring six airbargs, climate control, four-speaker radio with CD/ MP3 and keyless entry.
The new vehicle will be powered by: a 78 hp 1.2-liter petrol engine, a new 1.4-liter petrol engine developing 100 hp and a bigger 1.6-liter petrol engine developing 126 hp (all the units come with a five-speed manual transmission, but Hyundai offers also a four-speed automatic gearbox available with the 1.4 and 1.6-liter engines).
Of course, the vehicle will have two diesel engines: a 1.4-liter engine developing 75 or 90 hp and a 1.6-liter engine capable to develop 115 or 128 hp (the 1.4-liter engines come are connected to a five-speed manual transmission while the 1.6-liter is available with an improved six-speed manual transmission).
