Video: ‘The New Sound of Bentley’ teases firm’s next 4.0-liter V8

A new video dubbed “The New Sound of Bentley” has recently been unveiled by Bentley Motors. It’s quite obvious that it is a teaser for the new V8 that was built in collaboration with Audi. This engine is slated to arrive early next year, indicating that the launch is likely to be at the Detroit Motor Show this January. Audi and Bentley co-developed this V8 engine that displaces 4.0-liters and will be fitted on the facelifted Continental GT.
But it will be made use of by several Audis that have been modified to offer faster speeds. Similar to other vehicles built by the VW Group, this model is focused on boosting efficiency and reducing weight.
This is a factor that the Continental GT isn’t doing so well in. This unit has 40% lower CO2 emissions level when compared to the W12 engine fitted on the Continental GT. When this engine is used in the Bentley vehicle, the engine could bring its power to the road through a 40:60 rear-biased all-wheel-drive system.
