Volkswagen launches entry-level Scirocco

Starting January 4, the Volkswagen Scirocco will be available. The two-door compact coupe, which boasts an efficient new entry-level engine, is equipped with the 1.4-liter TSI 122 PS engine. Prices start at £18,860 RRP on the road. The 1.4-liter TSI 122 PS unit develops 147 lbs ft of torque channeled via a six-speed manual gearbox, through the front wheels. The car can go from 0 to 62 mph in 9.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 124 mph. Due to the engine's small capacity, the Scirocco returns a healthy combined economy figure of 44.1 mpg and CO2 emissions of 146 g/km, making it the cleanest petrol model in the range. This new entry-level model boasts a wide-ranging list of standard equipment. This includes a set of 17-inch Donington alloy wheels and safety features: ABS, ESP (Electronic Stabilization Program) and six airbags. For £765 more, the buyer can get the Adaptive Chassis Control (ACC) on this model. For the New Year, Volkswagen will have a new optional styling pack available on Scirocco GT models. For £950, you can get the new Lugano Black package consists of a set of 10-spoke 19-inch Luganoâ alloy wheels finished in gloss black with additional Piano Black decorative inserts throughout the cabin.
