Volkswagen is celebrating a decade of having offered the best off-road vehicles by releasing the special edition Volkswagen Touareg Edition X. It was in 2012 that the original Touareg Mk1 SUV had its very first launch at the Paris Motor Show. The new Touareg Edition X is equipped with standard 19-inch alloy wheels "Moab" and comes with the optional exterior color scheme "Moonlight Blue Pearl Effect" as well as stylish features. The off-roader also gets a huge panoramic slide/tilt sunroof, silver anodized roof rails, Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and tinted rear lights in LED technology. It also is available with the design package "Chrome & Style" and tinted side and rear windows. The "Touareg X" logo appears on the front door sills. With regards to the interioir, the Touareg X Edition gets distinctive nappa leather appointments in Amber Brown with a new type of braid embossed finish. It features ebony inlays on its doors and dash panel. Matching decorative stitching can be seen on the leather steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and the textile mats. There are five engine-gearbox versions (which include a hybrid) available for the Touareg Edition X. VW has started to take orders for the vehicle. It has a starting price of € 61,025 for the V6 TDI BlueMotion Technology 150 kW / 204 hp with 8-speed automatic transmission.
