It was already late when Audi released the details of a modified version of its A4L sedan designed and produced solely for the Chinese outlet. Lately, Volvo has unveiled its latest long-wheelbase Volvo S80 saloon, which like the Audi will be displayed this week at the Guangzhou Motor Show in South China. Patterned after the standard S80 sedan, the S80 L has been locally designed and manufactured exclusively for the Chinese market, where it will also be assembled. It shares all the elements with the shorter S80 but add an extra 14cm in length, with most of the generated space providing rear seat passengers the full benefit. Since entering China, Volvo has enjoyed steady growth. Its first locally built model, the S40, was released in 2006, and now it sells both the S40 and the lead S80 in Chinese dealers.
