Volvo raked in plenty of wins during this year's Swedish Touring Car Championship and is preparing to gain more trophies in the upcoming races. In Sweden, its Green C30 DRIVe racer has claimed all pole positions and won several races. For the World Touring Car Championship round at Brands Hatch on July 18-19, Volvo Cars Motorsport joined forced with Volvo Cars UK to support Volvo's official team Volvo Polestar Racing. At last year's round, Volvo's C30 was successful. This year, two cars will be entered, to be driven by Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad. The cars will feature a unique Volvo Genuine Parts and Polestar Performance WTCC livery. Derek Crabb, Director of Motorsport at Volvo Car Corporation, said, "Last year was an exploratory race. This year we are upping the stakes to give our British Volvo fans and customers a great show. I think that we will also be able to show that STCC is a championship that is on a very high level even compared to the best in the world."
