Volvo working on a XC30 compact crossover

Volvo confirmed the fact that an XC30 compact crossover will be added in its line-up. It seems that the new car will be based on the C30 hatchback and will sit under the XC60 and XC70. "There will be some further expansion of the XC range in the near future," said company's president overseas corporate strategy, Lex Kerssemakers. According to the latest reports, it appears that the new XC30 is expected to make its European debut in 2012. The new car is set to take on cars such as the Bmw X1 and the Audi Q3, but we shall see its chances to compete against these models. And it appears that this is not all, as Volvo is also working on a five-door version of the C30. Honestly to tell you we like the 2010 Volvo C30, but a five-door version will not be as popular as the hatchback.
