Volkswagen announced today that its well-known 2.0-litre found on the Golf GTI is now available for the Scirocco and Eos. For those who don’t know, the engine delivers 155 kW / 210 hp and has an impressive fuel consumption of just 7.4 litres per 100 kilometres (Eos: 7.2 litres / 100 km).  Continued after the jump!

This means that for the Scirocco, the fuel consumption decrease is up to five percent while for the Eos the reduction is even more considerable, up to nine percent.

Both vehicles receive a torque of 280 newton metres available between 1700 and 5000 rpm, while the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is made in just 6.9 seconds with the Scirocco and in 7.8 seconds with the EOS.

Also, both vehicles offer the choice between the standard 6-speed manual gearbox and the optional dual clutch gearbox (DSG).

Pricing starts at 26,050 euros for the Scirocco and at 31,975 euros for the Eos.
