Vw Golf Plus BlueMotion released in the U.K.

Volkswagen is proud to announce that you can have your very own BlueMotion version of the new Golf Plus as early as October if you order now. Prices for the new Golf Plus BlueMotion start at £17,570 in S trim. With CO2 emissions of 114g/km and a combined fuel economy of 65.7mpg, the new VW Golf Plus BlueMotion is indeed splendid.

The VW Golf Plus BlueMotion uses the same 104bhp 1.6-litre common-rail TDI engine as the regular Golf BlueMotion. Its CO2 emissions and fuel economy figures are 10% and 11% better respectively over the outgoing 1.9-litre TDI-powered Golf Plus BlueMotion. For economy, modifications include revised gear ratios in third, fourth and fifth, the addition of low-resistance tires, a stop-start system and regenerative braking. The Golf Plus BlueMotion is available in two trim levels - S and SE - and its standard features are the same as on the regular models. These include ABS, ESP, six airbags, air conditioning, a CD player and a gearchange recommendation function.
