Vw Passat R-Line makes its debut in the U.K.

The sporty R-Line trim of VW, which is already released on the Tiguan SUV, will be expanded to the VW Passat range according to some reports. The R-Line for the VW Passat is offered in both saloon and estate versions and receives a custom 17 inch alloy wheels and a body kit designed by VW‚ niche product arm Individual. The R-Line trim for the VW Passat is patterned after the entry-level S trim and, even though it costs Ôø°600 more, it bring ins extra equipment such as cruise control, seat height adjustment for the front seats and an electronic tire pressure monitor which is valued at about Ôø°2,470. Removed from the VW Passat range are the Sport and SEL trim levels, although the Highline and R36 remains in their range-topping position. The 1.4-liter TSI and 1.8-liter TSI gasoline powerplants together with the 2.0-liter TDI CR 110 pr 2.0-liter TDI CR 140 turbo-diesels will all receive the VW Passat-R Line trim.
